The IC2 Exercise Bike from ICG is a solid, commercial-grade indoor cycle, featuring quality construction and simple features.
FRICTION BRAKING
The IC2 uses the classic, simple friction braking system. An easy-to-use twisting knob allows the user to vary the resistance without messing around with buttons or dials, and provides instant feedback. Friction braking means that the flywheel is slowed down by an adjustable pad, and so the resistance can be increased until the point that the wheel comes to a complete halt, giving the user a limitless amount of variable resistance to work with. You’ll be able to set the bike to a resistance level that is challenging and productive for you, regardless of your ability level. Friction brakes are also preferred by some because of their more analogue feel, involving the user more in the simple mechanics of the system instead of having to rely on preset ‘levels’ used by digital braking systems.
WORKOUT MONITOR
To help motivate you throughout your workouts the IC2 features an integrated workout console, which displays key session data. You can monitor stats such as heart rate, RPM, and distance. This allows you to keep track of your progress over time, seeing where improvements have been made, as well as facilitating different styles of workout to be completed. The simple, stripped-back console is easy to use for any user, and keeps your attention on the workout.
COMMERCIAL QUALITY
The IC2 has been designed with commercial fitness studios in mind. Its sturdy steel frame can take a user weight of 130kg and is tough enough to take the high-volume use of a gym environment. The bike’s 15kg steel flywheel is powerful as well as durable, and provides a smooth ride. At only 48kg, and with dimensions of just 120×53×110cm, the bike is compact and efficient, and won’t take up too much space in your fitness space. It also comes equipped with transport wheels to make moving it around easy, whether it be for storage or just to reorganise your gym. A built-in water bottle holder helps keep you hydrated while you work out.
ADJUSTABLE
To accommodate a wide range of user heights, the IC2 comes fully adjustable. The saddle can be adjusted both vertically (up and down) and horizontally (forward and backward), and the handlebar can be adjusted vertically. The range of user positions available means you’ll be able to find the option to suit you, and allow you a comfortable, productive ride. The handlebar is multi-position and PVC coated, which offers various different grips for different user preferences or workout type, as well as providing comfort and security. The pedals are dual-sided SPD with a toe cage, keeping your feet secure while you cycle. A 173mm Q factor produces a real-road feel.
