YOU SET THE SPEED
Expertly designed and manufactured to cope with the demands of high levels of endurance training, the Run-X's speed is defined by your pace! Run faster for higher speed, and run slower for slower speed- simple! The design allows the user to set their goals and get started without having to worry about setting the speed or incline on the treadmill's console. As the Run-X is controlled entirely by the user, there is no emergency stop button or clip to pull from the console- however, the wide foot plates and safety rails guarantee that you will be able to stop at any time both safely and securely.
PREMIUM RUNNING EXPERIENCE
The large running surface allows users to run safely at any pace, with or without using the handrails. The running surface is made up of rubber-coated aluminium slats which are extremely comfortable to run on; perfect for joint protection. Extremely quiet and smooth when in use, the running surface is also extremely durable, robust and hard-wearing.
There are extra wide foot plates on the curved runner to make it easier and more accessible should you wish to stop swiftly. Equipped with two transport wheels, the Run-X can easily be moved around to best suit the room or studio space.
5" LCD CONSOLE
The Taurus Run-X 2.0 Curved Treadmill is equipped with a 5" LCD console, designed only to display the most crucial workout metrics and features. The console has 4 target programs for you to choose from: time, distance, heart rate and calories; perfect for targeting specific goals during your workout.
The Taurus Run-X 2.0 Curved Treadmill also features 2 pre-set interval training settings; 10/20 and 20/10. These interval programs allow you to work out for 10 seconds and rest for 20 seconds, or workout for 20 seconds and rest for 10 seconds, respectively, which is fantastic for HIIT-style training. There is also a custom interval setting that allows users to set their own interval settings to best suit their fitness level or preference for the intensity of the overall session.

MAGNETIC RESISTANCE
Unlike the previous Run-X, the 2.0 model now includes four levels of magnetic resistance that can be set by users via the lever on the right-hand side of the treadmill. The more the resistance is increased, the tougher it is to run. Alternatively, the resistance can be adjusted to the maximum level; hold onto the handrails to simulate a hill climb and feel that level of burn.
RECOMMENDED ACCESSORIES
As with all treadmills, it is always recommended to place a CV mat underneath the treadmill to protect the machine and your flooring.

The future for running indoors
If you’re reading this review then you’ve probably already decided on choosing a curved treadmill over a traditional one. Having tried a curved treadmill in the gym it was definitely the right decision for me. Setup was reasonably straight forward apart from the manual not being sufficiently detailed regarding the electrical treadmill connection but all sorted with a call from the engineer. The treadmill has an excellent commercial feel being stable when in operation, screen is clear with space for tablet/phone and drinks holder. Resistance settings (4 of them) work really well - you can easily move from sprinting one second to sled pulls the next - each targeting different muscle groups. Feels more like running outside than a traditional treadmill with less impact on joints. Also treadmill encourages forefoot striking rather than heel strike. From every aspect the treadmill excels whether you are performing HIIT’s, sled pulls, brisk walk or steady state cardio. Greater concentration is required though than with a normal treadmill. One thing to note is that it weighs circa 35kg’s if you want to move the treadmill using the lifting bar. All in all a five star product from Powerhouse (Batley)- just order it the wait will be worth it!!

Fantastic machine!
Fantastic machine. I was a bit sceptical as I'm used to the powered treadmills but it turned out to be much better than anything I've used before. You can easily control the speed after you get used to how it works. Very sturdy and robust as well. Would definitely recommend

Run to my own pace!
My old treadmill was getting tired so I upgraded to one of these self-powered, curved treadmills. The ability to instantly change your pace is amazing, no more waiting for an old motor to pick up pace, or breaking your flow to find the "Speed Up" button. So much more realistic to outdoor running and makes interval traning a breeze!
