Q. Do I have to work full time in the business?
A. A most successful franchise is one who can devote their full attention to their Powerhouse fitness business. However, we will consider each applicant on individual merit.

Q. What is the set up cost of starting a Powerhouse fitness store?
A. This depends on the size and location of stores. On average it would be an investment level of £120k.

Q. How much money will I need to have readily available?
A. You will need a minimum of £35k.

Q. Where can I borrow the rest of the money?
A. The rest can be borrowed from one of the major lending institutions subject to status.

Q. How much money can I make?
A. This depends on your abilities as a business person. Good operators can do very well and weak operators do poorly. Powerhouse fitness provides you with the tools and support to help you make the business succeed. Ultimately though, success depends on how you, the franchisee, implement the systems and structures you learned on your training course. You must enjoy the hands on approach necessary to learn the business.

Q. How long does it take to start a Powerhouse Fitness business?
A. This depends on how quickly we can find you a suitable site. Location is very important for the future potential of your business. It takes approximately six months to find and be able to trade from the property.

Q. What is the length of term of the Franchise Agreement and is there an additional charge for renewal?
A. The initial agreement is for 5 years, subject to lease and other considerations. The Franchise Agreement is renewable by the franchisee at no additional charge, except a nominal amount to offset the franchisor’s legal costs.

Q. What happens if I want to sell the business?
A. You can sell your Powerhouse fitness business just like any other asset. However, we will want to approve the incoming franchisee. We also have the right to match the highest offer that you have received and buy your business ourselves.

Q. How many employees will I need to employ?
A. This depends on the size of the store and the volume of business being done. On average a staffing level of three is required.

Q. What are the typical opening hours?
A. The store trades seven days a week and most bank holidays to maximise all opportunities.

Q. What sort of people can become Powerhouse fitness Franchisees?
A. franchise partners can come from many different backgrounds. You do not need any retail experience only have the drive and energy to succeed.
