The Bodymax Turbo HD is aimed at 2 distinctly different markets. On the one hand, the Turbo HD is pitched at commercial operators of group indoor cycling activities, and on the other hand aims to satisfy the increasingly discerning consumer market for indoor cycles.

The demands of busy group exercise classes in commercial fitness facilities mean that commercial indoor cycles are subject to a punishing schedule of use, usually amounting to several hours per day. In such environments, substandard products with weak components are quickly found out, and as many operators have learned at their own expense, attempts to cut corners by purchasing cheaper bikes often go awry. The Turbo HD is at the lower end of the price spectrum, so I was on the look out for potential component frailties – as the assembly process puts you in close proximity to the product and most key components, I insisted on assembling the Turbo HD myself. I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised by the standard of all the parts I handled. For a start, the bike weights 65kg, this is mainly attributable to the commercial grade frame which I am sure will give a lifetime of service without any worries (even if used by large numbers of people around the suggested maximum user weight of 250kg). I found the standard of finish to be excellent throughout, and my feeling is that Bodymax has very successfully combined aesthetics without compromising durability. The key functional design elements of saddle comfort and height/lateral adjustment, along with crank positioning and handlebar design and adjustability, all passed with flying colours. Most impressive of all is the smoothness of ride and range of resistance, no doubt attributable to the lovely chrome-trimmed 20kg flywheel. I had the benefit of the optional LCD monitor which incorporates wireless pulse (if purchased with transmitter chest strap), and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this option – it was easy to set up, with a large easy-to-read display, it looks good while providing all the feedback you want during your workout. Whether you need bikes for your group indoor cycling classes at the gym, or you need one for use at home, the Turbo HD is an out and out winner, and represents outstanding value for money.

Powerhouse Fitness use a number of couriers for delivery of 'large items'. Free delivery includes delivery to the kerbside immediately adjacent to the couriers vehicle. Most couriers regard inside delivery as an extra service and as such this is not included with the free delivery option. It may be necessary for you to assist or move merchandise into your home. This is especially relevant if you live in a block of flats as couriers will only deliver to the ground floor entrance to the block.

Where possible, we recommend paying for two man delivery and installation on large items

What is two man delivery?
This service is available for large items. Subject to good and safe access, the courier will place the product in the ground floor room of your choice. Please note: Due to Health & Safety regulations deliveries above or below ground floor are at the carriers discretion and are not guaranteed. This includes steps that are immediately outside the premises and are required to climb in order to gain access to the property.

Other delivery information
Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland and all UK Islands may incur an additional charge and take longer. This includes postcodes beginning AB30, AB31, AB33. AB34, AB35, AB44, AB45, AB51, AB52, AB53 and AB54.
